January 09 - Parliament House Tour

by local MP Duncan McFettridge.

This tour will take around 45mins and we will have lunch afterwards.

 

February 09 - South Australian Maritime Museum

Port Adelaide.

 Lunch afterwards. Enjoy a guided tour of the immigration exhibitions. View updated Passengers Database which includes the names of 250,000 people who came to South Australia since 1836.

  

March 09 - Ayers House Museum

Enjoy the magnificent splendour of one of Adelaide’s finest homes and decorative arts collections.

  

April 09 - Tour of Centennial Park (with partners)

View War Graves and Garden of Remembrance. Hopefully just prior to Anzac Day. Lunch afterwards

 

May 09 - Bus trip to Hahndorf for tour of The Cedars

House, Studio and Garden of Sir Hans Heysen. (Said to be the most complete historic house in Australia). Time will be allowed to wander the main street of Hahndorf and lunch at Old Mill.

 

June 09 - O’Bahn to Tea Tree Plaza

 

September 09 - Bus trip to Monarto Zoo ( with partners)

“My Australian Africa Safari Tour drives through habitats to view

 Cheetah, giraffe, lions, Southern White rhinoceros, meerkats and

 Much more.

 Lunch afterwards either at Zoo or Murray Bridge.

 

October 09 Early October - Tour of ‘Carrick House’

 and lunch afterwards. The creation of Sir Edward and Ursula, Lady Hayward, the estate’s outstanding beauty, art collections and delightful grounds are a perfect example of gracious living from  the 1930’s to the 1980’s. 

 

Late October - Lunch at Graduates Restaurant (with partners) The bookings and deposits will be taken at VVF BBQ in February only.

 

November 09  - South Australian Police Historical Society (with partners)

Visit the Society’s galleries and see memorabilia from days gone by. There are historical vehicles including the infamous Black Maria.

We will be providing updated information at the monthly VVF BBQ’s for those ladies who don’t have access to the internet. Hope to see some new faces on the outings.
